The Emergency signal can be activated either through the MYNT key fob or from the button on the landing screen of BShield. Note: The BShield app button requires a long press.

The MYNT key fob is water resistant. If you will be using it around wet locations or it might be subject to immersion in water we recommend that you get the waterproof sleeve available on Amazon.

Yes. While the BShield app uses minimal power most people like to use the power saving features on their phone to conserve battery power. If you turn on power save, we recommend that you exclude BShield. Because settings vary from between smartphone operating systems and carriers we recommend you consult your smartphone literature.
BShield utilizes the GPS location information from your smartphone.. Depending on how frequent this information is updated your device may not immediately report the correct location. In real live testing we have found location data is accurate after the second signal has been sent during an emergency (usually within 60 seconds).
BShield itself works worldwide. Testing has been done in Europe and Australia. Make sure to check with your service provider that they have location and authority data (e.g., police) for your area.
Lone Worker and Lone Worker voice are applications for people who work alone. A person working alone would activate Lone Worker. When activated Lone Worker sends a signal with their location information along with information on how long they will be working. If the worker does not reset the system before the time duration expires your service provides gets an alarm and notifies the proper authorities.
Lone Worker Voice allows a lone worker to leave a voicemail with their service provider containing additional information relative to their location. As an example the Lone Worker might give the area within a building they are working if it is a large building.
Yes, when you signed up for service with a central alarm station you should have been provided with a copy of the user instructions that contained your activation code.
If the MYNT will not pair with your smartphone please check to make sure that Bluetooth is turned on. Also, you may want to flush your Bluetooth cache (please google for instructions for your particular device) and reboot your smartphone. If you still are unable to pair with your smartphone please contact your service provider for additional assistance.
First check you MYNT battery by press the MYNT button. Does the button light flash? If the battery is ok, open up BShield and wait about 15 seconds. Press the MYNT button again. Does it trigger an “Emergency”. If it does tell the central station operator that you talk too that you where testing the app. If not your smartphone lost connectivity to the MYNT. Follow the pairing instructions in your’ BShield Users Guide. If this does not work, please contact your provider for assistance.
